During my 21 years as a professional, I have served at various churches and business locations. Throughout this time, I have noticed that one of the common needs of people is to feel a sense of belonging and purpose. As an ordained Conference minister for 18 years in South Carolina and North Carolina, I have been able to help many individuals find a path to wholeness. I have had the privilege of serving 7 churches, being elected as the leader of the SC & NC state minister associations as well as Community Service emergency state coordinator, serving on conference nominating and executive committees, and taking on various roles such as Social Service Advisor for children in South Carolina, Chaplain for the GSO Police Dept., and Yoke Fellow Prison Ministry affiliate. Additionally, I have collaborated with government and health systems to combat stigmas, create opportunities to reduce tensions and assist people in their daily lives.
My current work is within human resources as a Chaplain in the corporate/business context, advocating for people and managing community donations. I serve on the Board of Directors for Wilkes Recovery Revolution, a substance recovery non-profit organization that works on coaching businesses to be NC-Recovery Friendly. My background in advisory, community engagement, workspace collaboration, and HR support has given me a deeper comprehension of the myriad of challenges individuals encounter informing my compassion. Through all of this, I have seen the vulnerability of the soul as well as its resilience, and I have witnessed the active and benevolent nature of God in the lives of all people. My family and I are honored to be a part of the Ephesus/RVA community. We are excited about the positive growth that comes from nurturing God's presence and creativity in the lives of all people. Let's grow and go together! Let's create together!
